If you're interested in volunteering at the Ashton Beer & Cider Festival 2026, we would love to have you on board! Below is a list of expected duties.

Please try and sign up by 1st May 2026 to give us time to allocate roles and arrange T-Shirts.

 

SET UP DAYS

 

**Tuesday, June 2, 2026** – Our specialist team will handle delivery and setup during the day. In the evening, additional setup tasks such as flooring may be required.

 

**Wednesday, June 3, 202** – This day involves racking and cooling of beers, setting up our bars, retrieving equipment from storage, and preparing beers for labeling and pricing.

 

OPEN SESSIONS

 

**Thursday, June 4, 2026 (morning)** There will be some final manual work on the bars, tidying up the site, placing banners and posters, and sorting glasses.

 

**Thursday, 4, 2026 (evening)** – We open to the public at 5:00 PM, which means we need additional volunteers for token sales and other areas. Bar service will end at 11.00 PM, but volunteers will still be needed afterward for token refunds and to assist customers.

 

**Friday, June 5, 2026** – Volunteers are needed from 12 noon for glass washing and restocking with more help required at 2:30 PM for bar area tidying before the 3:00 PM opening. The time is from 6.00PM to 10.00 PM, so extra hands are always appreciated!

 

**Saturday, June 6, 2026** – Similar to Friday, but we’ll need more volunteers starting 10.00 AM, as we open noon. We close at 10 PM and hope many volunteers will stay until around 11 PM help with cleanup. A drink will be provided afterward!

 

TAKE DOWN

 

**Sunday, June 8,2026** – Volunteers will assist with various tasks, including dismantling bar sections, sorting casks, stacking equipment, washing glasses, and packing up games and banners.

 

**NOTE:** cannot guarantee specific roles, as all duties need to be filled to ensure the festival's. Volunteers should be flexible and willing to take different tasks as needed. Refusing reasonable assignments may lead to a loss of staff privileges. Each team has designated managers to guide your work and breaks. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your first shift receive your staff T-shirt and role assignment at the indoor Tokens Desk.

 

**IMPORTANT!** All volunteers must adhere to the Ashton Beer & Cider Festival guidelines health and safety procedures, and behavior standards. By applying, you agree to these policies, and any violations may result in immediate removal from the event and exclusion from future volunteer opportunities.
